2022 Folk Festival
We are thrilled to have expanded to two days this year and we will be back at New Haven’s Edgerton Park on September 10th and 11th. The event includes live music from local acts to national headliners, delicious food trucks and a Green Expo highlighting artisan vendors, non-profits, workshops, and a jam-packed day of activities and experiences in the Green Kids Zone.

Where is the event located?
The 2022 CT Folk Festival and Green Expo is located at Edgerton Park. 75 Cliff Street, New Haven, CT 06515.
There are two (2) entrances on Cliff Street and one (1) entrance on Edgehill Road
What is the cost of admission?
CT Folk Fest & Green Expo is welcome to all and we ask for a $20 Suggested Donation per day per person. We appreciate your support as we continue our efforts and present the 29th annual Folk Fest!
What should I bring to the concert?
Your friends, the kids, a poncho in case of rain, chairs, blankets, water bottles, cash for food trucks, and a love for great music. You may as well bring the neighbors too.
Is the event kid friendly?
Yes it is! Our fest welcomes everyone and we have an incredible Green Kids Village which offers all-day workshops including yoga and hula hooping sessions, hands-on projects with EcoWorks, Eli Whitney Museum, Massaro Community Farm and entertainment including Liz McNicholl, Cyril the Sorceror,Infinite Roots Drumming and SO MUCH MORE!
What if it rains?
CT Folk Festival And Green Expo is a RAIN OR SHINE EVENT!
Can I bring a water bottle?
Yes! Up to two 32 oz water bottles are allowed upon entry.
Where can I park?
No Parking is allowed in the park. However, there is on-street parking adjacent to the park.
-There is parking all along Whitney Avenue. Be sure to follow all posted signs.
-There is additional site-adjacent on-street parking in the neighborhoods both East and West of Whitney Ave. We ask that you are respectful of all driveways and signs. Do not park on any grass. Be sure to follow all posted signs.
-Additional OFF-SITE parking is available at Hamden Hall Day School (1108 Whitney Ave, Hamden, CT 06517)
Disabled Parking will be on Cliff Street on both sides of the Main Entrance (Greenbrier Greenhouse entrance).
Can I take public transportation to Festival?
We encourage all attendees to carpool or to take public transportation to the concerts. If unable to do so we also have FREE shuttle buses please click on link above or visit home page.
North from New Haven downtown - Bus 229 leaves downtown New Haven from Union Station, through the New Haven Green and then on Whitney Ave to Edgerton Park. A bus stop is available at Edgerton Park at Whitney Ave opposite Cliff Street. The CT Transit busses are currently free. Plan your trip at cttransit.com
South from Waterbury & Cheshire Bus 229 takes Route 10 (S. Main street in Waterbury, Whitney Ave in Cheshire) south to Whitney Avenue right at the edge of Edgerton Park. The CT Transit busses are currently free. Plan your trip at cttransit.cm
Bus 228 largely follows the same route between New Haven and Cheshire. The CT Transit busses are currently free. Plan your trip at cttransit.com
Drop-Off Zone?
We will have signed for Drop-Off Zone at the Edgehill Rd Entrance. You drop someone in your party with your gear, before you go park.
Are dogs welcome?
Your dog is welcome, but must be on a leash at ALL times and must be picked up after.
What items are prohibited at the festival?
- No Outside Food Or Drink
- No Coolers
- No weapons
- Shade tents or canopies
- All fireworks
- Glass containers
- Illegal drugs
We do reserve the right to check all bags at the gate of festival.
CT Folk Fest Community Shuttles Available **Saturday Only**
Shuttle Buses will be available every hour on the hour starting at 11:00am on Saturday, September 10th to CT Folk Fest & Green Expo.

Return Buses from fest to both pick-up locations will take place at:
2:30pm, 3:30pm, 4:30pm, 5:30pm, 6:30pm
