Meet Our Board Members
Anna Grace (AG) Barry
President
AG, a resident of New Haven, serves as the Assistant Director of Stewardship & Alumni Engagement for The Jackson Laboratory. With a strong background in nonprofit management, strategy, and fundraising, AG has successfully led numerous initiatives to enhance donor engagement and capacity building. They believe that all music, and particularly live music, brings people together in indescribable ways and builds a meaningful community with each note. Outside of work and volunteering, you can find AG running, cycling, traveling, and exploring the outdoors.
Maryjane (MJ) Fazekas
Vice President
MJ is a lifelong resident of Connecticut, having been born and raised in Fairfield County. She is honored to serve as the Vice President of the Board of Directors for CT Folk. With a prior career in contract administration and operations, she currently works part-time in interior sales design. While MJ does not consider herself musically talented, she has experience in creative dance and theater performance. She is a passionate music fan who enjoys attending live concerts, both small and large. She believes that music can foster cultural awareness through important dialogues, bringing together a diverse community.
Pierce Campbell
Treasurer
Pierce has made his living for the past 40 years playing and recording as a vocalist and songwriter, accompanied on guitar, mandolin, bass and harmonica. He has released 5 solo CDs and 5 with the Kerry Boys, a group who are a Connecticut institution, having played their Irish pub classics and originals in over 70 Connecticut towns. Pierce spent 15 years recording, songwriting and CD mastering for Turn Up the Music as one of their “Hit Crew” supplying holiday and special event CDs for I-Party and Party City throughout the US. At the same time, he played guitar for Fred Paris and the Five Satins, New Haven’s popular Oldies group who’s hit song, “In the Still of the Night,” is one of the most popular Oldies of all time. During his time with the Five Satins, Pierce played at many iconic venues such as Madison Square Garden, the Meadowlands, the Spectrum, the Beacon Theater and Symphony Hall in both Boston and Philadelphia, sharing the bill and dressing room with some of the most popular acts of the Oldies era including Chuck Berry, Howlin’ Wolf, the Drifters, Fats Domino, the Coasters and Ronnie Spector. He currently plays throughout the Northeast with several groups including the Pierce Campbell Jazz Duo, the Kerry Boys, ‘60s Satisfaction, the Xtras and Lara Herscovitch and the Highway Philosophers. Pierce was honored to be the Connecticut State Troubadour for 2006 and 2007.
Coleen (Co) Campbell
Board Member
Co is the most recent addition to the CT Folk Board. She was president and founder of Dava, a mini fair-trade chain of boutiques, and a medical education coordinator at Yale University's Dept of Ophthalmology. She was on the ground floor of the formation of The CT Folk non-profit, an early board member, and Festival Director. She co-created and launched the first CT Green Expo at the CT Folk Festival. Co is an event planner and coordinator (most recently and presently) of the Rock to Rock Earth Day Bike Ride.
David Solin
Board Member
David has over 30 years of financial/operations experience, including executive administration level (CFO/DFO), financial planning and analysis, reporting, treasury, strategy and financial markets. Experience in startups to multi-billion dollar organizations. His previous nonprofit work includes Coram Deo (Board member), Score/SBA (mentor) and the CT Association for Human Services (CTMoney Store, coach).
