Updated: Aug 25, 2022
Folk Family! We're just a few weeks away from fest. How's your lineup research going? Who do you love? Who's your new discovery? Who do you need to know more about.
Well it's time to kick off a series looking at the artists of the 2022 CT Folk Festival And Green Expo. We're going to start today sharing our playlist and digging into the lineup one by one with you.
I'm going to start with the Saturday Eli Whitney Main Stage opener Haunt The House.

Will Houlihan, AKA Haunt The House, started to get some notice after his 2013 release 'Rural Introspection Study Group'.
RIYL (Recommended if you like) early Iron & Wine or Nick Drake
top tracks: 'Vampyre', 'Byrd Island' , 'Eden'
It was 'Jack Rabbit Jones' that propelled Haunt the House to a national stage. Produced with Ben Knox Miller and Jeff Prystowsky, at the Columbus Theatre in Providence RI. Haunt The House started to get national recognition, culminating in Houlihan's second Newport Folk Festival appearance in 2015. During this time, Haunt the House was largely a trio featuring Bessie Bessin and Amato Zinno.
RIYL : the Low Anthem, breathing
top tracks: 'Mosquito Coast', 'Pity Creek Ravine''Burial Waltz' and 'You've Dissappeared'
The last output from Haunt The House coincided with their Newport Folk Festival debut in 2015. The self-titled two-track EP 'Haunt the House' keeps the 3 member formula and has singles 'Hymnal' and 'Jesus Christ'. Don't fret. This isn't the end of new music from Haunt The House. It's just the last of the studio recordings for now. You can find more if you dig, such as this live recording by The Collaborative in 2017
Check out Haunt the House 11:15am-12:15pm - Saturday September 10th on the Eli Whitney Main Stage
